About Me

I've been a personal trainer for 27 years. I've had the opportunity to learn and experience many fitness disciplines. One thing that has come to be the staple of my fitness training. Is that each person's body is unique in that it has experienced a different journey, whether you were an athlete, have worked a manual labor job or a desk job. Each body has had injuries or setbacks and those create a unique body that needs an individual approach when designing a fitness program. I build my programs to where a persons body is right now, so that it's a safe effective program that will help facilitate achieving those goals. In the beginning a program needs to focus on building a strong functional muscle foundation that will not only assist you with achieving your fitness goals but will also assist you with the everyday movements that occur in life. Starting a fitness journey can be hard and intimidating but one thing I've found to be true regardless of the journey. Each journey always sta

Where my Journey began

My fitness journey began in high school. I was fairly small compared to most of my classmates. My sophmore year I weighed about 130lbs. I wanted to get bigger and stronger. So I began learning how to properly lift weights. I took every weight class i was allowed. I took advise from the bigger and stronger guys in my class.  The only source of outside information back then was muscle and fitness magazine. So I used that as well.  Three years later when I  graduated I had reached 170lbs. A couple years out of high school I lost focus and ballooned up to 210lbs with approximately 25% bodyfat.  Being unhappy with my physique and how I feeling about myself.  I changed my focus to fat loss and over the next few months I was able to get my weight  back down to 170lbs. Once there I turned back to gainimg muscle with the goal of getting to 200lbs with 10% bodyfat. The journey was long, challenging including many highs and lows.  It took me about a year of eating better foods and working hard on my strength training programs until I reached my goal of 200lbs with 10% bodyfat. The feeling of accomplishment was so incredible. To see all my hard work payoff. It was then I decided that I wanted to become a personal trainer and help others reach their goals. I turned my focus to exercise science and began working to become a personal trainer. It's has been such a rewarding experience to be able to help others reach their fitness goals over the years. It's a privilege to be able to travel alongside each person on their fitness journey and almost 27 years later it continues to be very fulfilling.  I feel so blessed that it's my job to help others become a better version of themselves and it's something I get to live each day.

500lb Deadlift

Setting goals is a great way to stay focused and motivated. This is my 3rd attempt at trying for my 500lb deadlift goal,

255lb overhead press

My original goal was to hit 225lb but was able to get to 255lb. This one felt harder than the deadlift. Due to the fear of it dropping on my head.
